<p>This course provides you with basic knowledge in using both hardware and software to meet the demands of today's job market and research environments. Throughout the course, you will develop a broad understanding of computers and related technology, including hardware, operating systems, and basic troubleshooting. The course also equips you with skills to use specific software effectively, with a particular focus on programming environments such as Python.</p><p>The course provides you with knowledge of Unix-based operating systems such as Linux and MacOS. You will learn the basic steps for installing Linux systems, using the terminal, file operations, and file systems. The course also focuses on justifying the choice of text editors and programming environments, as well as basic security measures to ensure data security. You will be able to use Unix-based systems, perform command-line and file operations, edit text files, find documentation for relevant applications, and write simple programs in Python and BASH. You will also be able to implement basic security measures to ensure data security.</p> <p>The course includes lectures and training exercises with practical examples and is offered remotely with the support of an online learning platform and digital tools. Examination is conducted digitally in the form of a quiz at the end of the course.</p>
