Overview
I det självständiga arbetet i datalogi får du tillämpa det du lärt dig av datalogi och matematik under nära tre års studier. Du ska genomföra ett projekt som beskrivs i en rapport och presenteras på ett seminarium. Projektet kan beröra många olika områden, inkluderande diskreta beräkningar, numeriska beräkningar, matematisk modellering och simulering, med mera, och kan ha tillämpningar i diverse fält, till exempel klimatmodellering, beräkningsbiologi, och teoretisk datalogi. Arbetet kan genomföras på institutionen eller vid ett företag/myndighet.

For course admission, 135 ECTS credits, including knowledge equivalent to the following is required: Algorithms and Complexity, 7.5 credits (DA3004), Programming Paradigms, 7.5 credits (DA4003), Database Technology, 7.5 credits (DA4001), Numerical Analysis I, 7.5 credits (MM5016), Mathematics, science and society, 7.5 credits (MM5015). Swedish upper secondary school course English 6.
