Kursen behandlar de aspekter av byggprojektering som utgår från konstruktions- och installationsteknik. Olika typer av bärverk och belastningar på dessa gås igenom liksom uppbyggnad av anläggningskonstruktioner som vägar, järnvägar och vatten och avloppsystem. Markens inverkan på grundläggningsmetod och översiktlig genomgång av geoteknik ingår också. Inom installationsteknik studeras inomhusklimat och installationer för värme, kyla, ventilation samt vatten och avlopp. Effekt- och energibehov för uppvärmning behandlas.
