Legitimerad lärare med inriktning mot arbete i förskoleklass och grundskolans årskurs 1-6 samt uppnådd meriteringsnivå 1 inom det nationella professionsprogrammet för rektorer, lärare och förskollärare. Uppnådd meriteringsnivå 1 behöver ej vara beslutad vid ansökningstillfället förutsatt att en ansökan om meriteringsnivå 1 är inlämnad senast vid ansökningstillfället till denna kurs. Utöver den behörighetsgivande examen krävs ytterligare 30 hp. För den som har en examen på forskarnivå kan den vara fullgjord antingen före eller efter behörighetsgivande examen. Dessutom krävs aktuell yrkesverksamhet om minst halvtid som legitimerad förskollärare eller lärare inom skolväsendet.
