Creative Entrepreneurship for Material-Based Craft and Design Innovation

<p>The aim of this course is to strengthen the students' own resources and skills for a sustainable professional career within craft and design Students are supplied with tools to develop innovative material-based craft and design products and services. Through structured mappings of gaps in the market the student investigates how these products and services can be offered in both traditional and nontraditional contexts. By encouraging students to think beyond traditional economic models within their own field the course supports new forms of collaboration and production. The student develops an action plan that is based on their own identified and developed resources and will be set in motion already during later part of the course.</p> <p>The course is given as a distance course with 4 mandatory course meetings. The course meetings are conducted as hybrid seminars where participation can take place either on site at Campus Steneby or via link. Teaching takes place through scheduled lectures, seminars and workshops, study visits, literature studies as well as individual and group based tutoring.</p>
