Kursen syftar till att studenten ska förvärva fördjupad förmåga i vetenskaplig metod samt fördjupad kunskap i nutida teoretiska perspektiv inom kriminologi. 180 hp varav 90 hp successiv fördjupning inom kriminologi eller motsvarande. Dessutom krävs Svenska 3/Svenska nivå 3 och Engelska 6/Engelska nivå 2.
