Overview
Kursen har stor bredd och ger en helhetsbild av dagens växtodlingssystem under nordiska förhållanden. Kursen behandlar biologin hos kulturväxter, ogräs och växtskadegörare samt hur omgivningsfaktorer och odlingsåtgärder t.ex. gödsling påverkar olika komponenter av odlingssystemet. Kursen omfattar också studier av typjordar med avseende på deras bruknings- och odlingsegenskaper, dränerings- och bevattningsbehov samt jordbearbetning och sådd. I ett fristående projektarbete bearbetas och utvärderas olika delar av växtodlingen på gårdsnivå.
