För tillträde till kursen krävs 90 hp tidigare studier som skall inkludera minst två av följande kurser: Artificiell intelligens - grunderna, 7.5 hp, Ubiquitous Computing, 7.5 hp, Människa-datorinteraktion med inriktning mot kognition och design, 7.5 hp, Produktutveckling i medieteknik med metoden "Design-Build-Test" 7.5 hp eller motsvarande. Engelska och svenska för grundläggande behörighet för högskolestudier om utbildningen ges på svenska.
