Overview
Programmet riktar sig till dig som har erfarenhet av arbete i fritidshem och som vill bli behörig lärare. Utbildningen leder till examen som grundlärare med inriktning mot fritidshem. Baserat på tidigare yrkeserfarenhet kan 45 av utbildningens 180 högskolepoäng tillgodoräknas, vilket innebär en studietid om fyra och en halv termin. I programmets verksamhetsförlagda utbildning, VFU, får du möjlighet att omsätta teoretiska kunskaper i praktiken. Du kan genomföra VFU på eller i närheten av din bostadsort. Utbildningen ges på distans, helfart (100% studietakt), och innehåller campusförlagda träffar vid din valda studieort tre till fyra gånger per termin. Varje träff omfattar minst en till två dagar, vid behov fler. Programmet ges i samarbete mellan Högskolan i Gävle och Mälardalens universitet.

General entry requirements for higher education in Sweden, plus courses equivalent to the following Swedish upper secondary school subjects: English 6, Natural Science 1b or 1a1 + 1a2 and Social Science 1b or 1a1 + 1a2. Alternatively: English level 2, Natural Science level 1b or level 1a2 and Social Science level 1b or level 1a2. Furthermore, a minimum of three years of documented professional experience equivalent to full-time employment in an educational setting is required, of which at least two years must be continuous and at no less than half-time within School-Age Educare (Fritidshem).
