Degree Project for Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

The course consists of a degree project carried out individually or, if approved by the examiner, in pairs under supervision by university staff. For group projects, individual responsibilities must be clearly defined in the project plan. The project provides students with the opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge within their chosen field and to apply engineering methods in a practical context. Assessment consists of active participation in seminars, as well as oral and written presentations. The examination includes two mandatory seminars: one presenting work in progress and one final presentation. During the final presentation, each student acts as an opponent by reviewing and discussing another student’s work. The completed project must also be documented in a written report, submitted in accordance with university guidelines. Students are expected to submit a draft version of the report to the course examiner approximately two weeks before the final presentation. Based on consultation with the supervisor, the examiner will determine whether the project has reached a sufficient level of completion to proceed to the final presentation.
