Under kursen behandlas människans utveckling i ett livsloppsperspektiv. Olika aspekter av utvecklingen, till exempel kognition och emotion, beskrivs i relation till respektive utvecklingsfas. Samspelet mellan biologiska, psykologiska, sociala och kulturella faktorer för utvecklingen belyses.
