Overview
In this online course, students are introduced to three core areas within digital archaeology: 1) Spatial analysis using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), 2) 3D modelling, visualisation and virtual reconstruction, and 3) Text mining and machine learning in archaeology. The course will cover the application of a variety of digital techniques from field documentation to processing, analysis, visualisation and presentation of archaeological research data. The course is offered as a 5-week module, and teaching is delivered in the form of online lectures and tutorials, online practical exercises and tutorials. All teaching will be in English.

General entry requirements for studies at the second-cycle level and special entry requirements: A Bachelor of Arts (any discipline) or the equivalent (at least 180 credits). English B/English 6 or the equivalent.
