Kursens övergripande fokus ligger på statisk och rörlig grafik för webben. Kursen hanterar objektbaserad och pixelbaserad grafik samt de olika filformatens fördelar, nackdelar och ändamål. Bildanpassning för webb i form av val av filformat, färgprofil och bildmanipulation genomförs. Kursen lägger vikt vid att arbetsprocesser för digital grafik inkluderar noggrann planering och därigenom även en tydlig förankring till både kravspecifikation och angivna tekniska krav. Lagerstrukturer och namngivningskonventioner för att förenkla samverkan inom grafisk produktion avhandlas. Producerad digital grafik redovisas utifrån givna krav vad gäller retorik och syfte. Kursen beskriver även lagar som reglerar bildanvändning.
