Overview
Kursen består av tre moduler. Den första modulen, Etnografisk undersökning, innehåller grundläggande kunskaper i etnografisk metod. Den andra modulen, Dokumentärfilmsprojekt, omfattar dokumentärt berättande och praktisk dokumentärproduktion. Modulen behandlar även de speciella villkor som gäller för filmfoto, regi, klippning och ljudarbete vid produktion av en dokumentärfilm. Särskilt betonas aspekten av att medvetet förhålla sig till de personer och företeelser man ska spela in, inklusive etiska och upphovsrättsliga frågor, respektive hur man ska arbeta med ett omfångsrikt dokumentärt material. Genom att genomföra ett projekt praktiseras färdigheter i hur en dokumentärfilm utvecklas, spelas in, efterbearbetas och presenteras för publik. Projektgenomförandet problematiseras utifrån idéer, förutsättningar, planering och faktiska skeenden. Den tredje modulen Dokumentärfilmsanalys, fokuserar på dokumentärfilmens historia och relation till samhällsutvecklingen.
