Kandidatexamen i kulturvård(180 hp) med inriktning mot konservering eller motsvarande krävs för att bli antagen till kursen. Studenter med annan akademisk bakgrund av relevans för det kulturvårdande fältet, och som motsvarar åtminstone en kandidatexamen, kan efter prövning ges tillgång till kursen. Engelska B från svensk gymnasieskola eller motsvarande nivå i ett internationellt erkänt test är ett krav för antagande.
