Studera ekonomisk utveckling och tillväxt, hållbarhet i ekonomisk produktion och konsumtion, betydelsen av innovationer och teknisk utveckling, kopplingar mellan lokala och globala ekonomiska och sociala processer samt produktionens organisering. Samtliga teman tar upp utveckling och strukturer i tid och rum och behandlar perioden från 1800 och framåt, dvs. uppkomsten och utvecklingen av industrisamhället. Genomgående perspektiv är dels det historiska/dynamiska, dels det geografiska/rumsliga. Målet med kursen är att ge er en grundläggande förståelse av de ovan lyfta frågeställningar samt motsvarande kunskaper om den lokala, nationella och internationella ekonom
