<p>Do you want to explore a development issue in depth and demonstrate your ability to conduct academic research? The bachelor's thesis in development studies gives you the tools to analyse, argue, and contribute new perspectives.</p><p>The bachelor's thesis is an independent research project where you investigate a development-related topic within economic history. As a final part of the Bachelor's in Development Studies, the course allows you to apply and deepen your knowledge.</p><p>You work in pairs (or individually upon approval) and receive guidance from one or more supervisors throughout the process. You formulate a research question, choose relevant theories and methods, collect material and conduct your analysis.</p><p>The course concludes with a seminar where you defend your thesis and discuss another student’s work. You practice presenting, discussing and critically reviewing both your own research and that of others.<br/>This course is for you if you want to explore development issues in depth and demonstrate your ability to work independently, think analytically and contribute to academic dialogue.<br/></p>
