Overview
Kandidatkursen syftar till att ge generell kunskap om nationalekonomiska metoder samt att introducera ett vetenskapligt förhållningssätt. Den första av kandidatkursens tre delkurser tar upp villkoren kring nytto- och vinstmaximering och ger dessutom en introduktion till spelteori med tillämpningar på olika områden. Den andra delkursen behandlar specifikation av ekonometriska modeller för tvärsnitts- och paneldata, datahantering och analys med mjukvara samt tolkning och kommunikation av resultat. Den tredje delkursen består i att skriva en uppsats som omfattar både tillämpning av ekonomisk teori och metodiskt empirisk analys på en relevant frågeställning som studenterna själva väljer.

Economics, basic course, 30 credits and successful completion of 15 credits from Economics, intermediate course, 30 credits. In addition, successful completion of 18 credits in statistics at basic level including 6 credits on the course Data Mining and Business Analytics, Basic Course, 15 credits alternatively Successful completion of 22 credits in statistics at basic level including Regression Analysis, basic course, 7.5 credits.
