Overview
NEK316 is a mandatory course for a bachelor's degree in Economics and is taken at the undergraduate advanced level in economics together with two courses. The goal of the course is to study and conduct an analysis of an economic issue based on economic theory and scientific method. The project work must be presented and defended in a seminar. In addition to defending their own work, students must critically review another project work and participate in at least two other seminars. The thesis can be written in either English or Swedish, and the opposition can be conducted in both languages. As a general rule, the thesis is written together with another student. Entry requirements
Admission to the course requires a minimum of 105 approved credits in total, of which at least 45 credits must be from both introductory and intermediate levels in Economics. The approved studies in Economics must include a course in Econometrics or equivalent.
