You will learn to see the broader patterns behind economic developments.</p><p>The course offers a broad introduction to modern macroeconomics and the main models used to analyse how economies function and evolve. You gain an understanding of the forces behind business cycles and economic crises, such as financial downturns, and learn how different models can help explain these developments. We look at the assumptions behind these models, how they can be applied in practice, and how different methods can support or challenge each other</p><p> </p><p>An important part of the course is to understand how economic policy is conducted and how it has changed over time. You learn about the roles of fiscal and monetary policy and how they are used to influence growth, employment, and inflation. By combining theory with real-world examples and current challenges, you develop both analytical skills and an informed understanding of the key issues shaping today’s economies.</p><p> </p>
