Economics - two-year master thesis

The course consists of five components. Part 1: Lectures on academic writing and the philosophy of science. In consultation with the supervisor, the student selects a topic for the thesis. Part 2: Writing of a literature review related to the thesis topic/research question, followed by a seminar discussion in a mid-way review (mandatory attendance). Part 3: Writing of the thesis. Part 4: Seminar where the thesis is discussed, and where the student also act as peer-reviewer on the work of another student (mandatory attendance). Part 5: Final presentation/submission of the thesis, together with a document explaining how comments from the finalseminar have been addressed in the final version. Supervision is offered during the semester in which the course is running. If a student re-registers for a later semester, supervision is subject to available resources.
