The course package consists of the following courses: Ecosystem Services, 15 credits<br> This course deals with Ecosystem Services. It introduces the UN Millennium Ecosystem Assessment, The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity report and other international efforts to describe, understand, implement and utilize the concept of Ecosystem Services. Ecological Engineering - Introductory Course, 7.5 credits<br> The course introduces the field of ecological engineering, and its strong connection to ecological modeling and systems ecology. Basic principles around this are introduced both theoretically and practically. Systems ecology – Nature and Society, 7.5 credits<br> The aim of the course is to introduce the branch of systems ecology that has been developed based on the energy hierarchy concept.
