Overview
Kursen utvecklar studenternas förståelse för kopplingen mellan samhällsutveckling och de livsnödvändiga ekosystemtjänsterna, såsom rent vatten, ren luft och biologisk mångfald. I kursen ingår att tolka och förstå denna koppling från ett planeringsperspektiv, till exempel hur markanvändning regleras till ett driftsperspektiv, exempelvis energianvändning av byggnader. Faktorer som påverkar planarbetet för hållbar landsbygd och stadsplanering behandlas utifrån de olika aspekterna och dimensionerna i hållbar utveckling. Kursen utvecklar studentens förståelse av landsbygdsutveckling och<br> de utmaningar eller konflikter som kan uppstå mellan landsbygd och stad. I kursen ingår att tillämpa verktyg för analys av ekosystemtjänster och hållbar utveckling och att tolka resultaten från sådana tillämpningar. Kursen utvecklar studentens förmåga att hantera vetenskaplig kunskap och att tillämpa den.
