Overview
The electrification of the aviation industry and how companies and society can contribute to development towards increased sustainability, with a focus on electric flights and electrification of airports. The challenges and opportunities of electric passenger flights, diverse electric vehicles and airport development to charge electric aircraft. Powertrains for electric aircraft. Power and energy requirements. Energy storage and charging. Forces on the flight systems for flying electric-powered systems, during take-off, flight and landing. Relevant environmental aspects as well as societal and ethical aspects. **Outline for distance course:** The teaching takes place in the daytime with a mixture of lectures, lessons and compulsory seminars. The course is given partly on-site in Uppsala and partly online through Zoom, according to the schedule. Two compulsory sessions on campus in Uppsala are presented in the course schedule. All submissions are submitted online on the learning platform.

Entry requirements
120 credits in science/engineering, including 10 credits in electrical engineering, 10 credits in mathematics and 10 credits in technology. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.
