I denna kurs får du en introduktion till talteorin och några av dess tillämpningar. Här behandlar vi delbarhetsegenskaper hos heltalen, kongruenser (Fermats lilla sats, Eulers och Wilsons satser), aritmetiska funktioner, kvadratiska rester, diofantiska ekvationer och kedjebråk. Talteori som tidigare ansågs abstrakt har med datorernas utbredning fått mer tillämpningar, till exempel: primtalstest och RSA-krypto. Kursen är även lämplig för dig som är yrkesverksam matematiklärare.
