Overview
Kursen handlar om hur den akutmedicinska vården av barn och ungdomar utförs och syftar till att studenten skall fördjupa sina kunskaper om bedömning samt vård och behandling av akut sjukdom/skada hos barn och ungdom. Man går igenom olika kritiska tillstånd som barn och ungdomar kan råka ut för, t ex kirurgiska och ortopediska tillstånd, trauma och smärta och smärtlindring. I kursen ingår även moment där misshandel och misstanke om misshandel tas upp och man diskuterar olika etiska dilemman i samband med barnmisshandel. Vidare behandlas lagstiftning med fokus på barn.
