<p>This course aims at giving students an opportunity to work independently under supervision on an in-depth study of issues relating to both theory and practice in English literary studies. By applying such theories and also relying on relevant research, students are expected to write a scientific research paper on a selected topic in the field resulting in a 30 hec Master thesis in English literature.</p>

The requirement for admission to the course is a Bachelor's degree including an individual assignment of at least 15 credits, or the equivalent in a foreign degree, and at least 30 credits in literary courses in English as the main field of study at second cycle level.
