<p>Would you like to understand how environmental and social impacts are taken into account when projects are approved or public plans are developed? In this course, you will learn how to review and create environmental impact assessments - a key tool for sustainable development.</p><p>Environmental impact assessment (EIA) is a key tool for assessing how projects and plans affect the environment, health and society. The course provides you with knowledge of how EIA is used in planning work and in permit applications.</p><p>You will gain insight into legislation and practice and learn to analyse and evaluate consequences from a sustainability perspective.</p><p>During the course, you will critically review existing EIA documents and carry out a small EIA yourself.</p><p>The course can be taken as a stand-alone course and is suitable for those interested in environmental issues, social planning and sustainable development.</p>

Minimum 120 ECTS credits. Minimum of 6 ECTS credits should be within environmental studies or sustainable development. Swedish 3/Swedish Level 3.
