<p>Kursen tar upp begrepp som används inom ämnet folkhälsovetenskap och hur epidemiologiska studiedesigner används inom folkhälsovetenskaplig forskning. Vidare behandlas hur man identifierar och väljer studiedesign för olika forskningsfrågor och studiepopulationer. Vidare ger kursen tillfälle att genom grupparbete genomföra statistiska bearbetningar och tolka resultat av populationsbaserade databaser via dataprogrammet SPSS. Epidemiologiska studier analyseras och etiska överväganden belyses genom seminarier.</p>
