Overview
The course aims to give a wide insight into modern evolutionary theory and to give an evolutionary perspective on both current and past biodiversity patterns. The course aims for a broad knowledge in evolutionary patterns and processes, and it interacts with several disciplines such as ecology, ethology, genetics, and systematics. The emphasis will be on theoretical comprehension, reflection and discussion throughout the course. Course period: November-January.

Admittance to the course requires knowledge equivalent to Cell and Molecular Biology 15 credits, Diversity and Phylogeny of Organisms 15 credits, Physiology 15 credits and Ecology, Floristics and Faunistics 15 credits. (Three credits corresponds to approximately two weeks full-time studies).
