<p>Denna kurs ger en introduktion till fantombilder (även kallade signalementsbilder eller kompositbilder). Kursen behandlar fantombildernas historiska utveckling, med fokus på Sverige och Västerlandet, samt deras funktion i brottsutredningar och rättssystemet. I samtida teknologiska sammanhang – inklusive bildprediktion baserad på DNA – fortsätter termen fantombild att fungera som en samlande beteckning för visualiseringar av ännu icke identifierade personer.</p><p>Studenterna får fördjupad kunskap om hur vi läser och tolkar bilder samt kulturella aspekter av bildskapande och bildförståelse. Kursen innehåller även ett självständigt arbete där studenten själv väljer ett fördjupningsområde.</p><p>Kursen ges på distans och examineras genom quizz, hemtentamen och ett självständigt arbete.</p>
