<p>Hur formas vår bild av filmens förflutna? I denna kurs får du en kritisk översikt över filmhistorieskrivningen, dess metoder, material och perspektiv - från filmarkiv till digitala resurser. </p><p>Den här kursen ger dig en introduktion till filmhistorieskrivningens grundproblem, såsom kanonbildning, urval, periodisering och kulturella hierarkier. Kursen behandlar filmens materiella förutsättningar - från tidiga filmbaser till dagens digitala format - och hur dessa påverkar bevarandet och forskningen. </p><p>På kursen lär du dig också hur filmarkiv upprättas och fungerar, och vilken roll de spelar för filmhistoria och filmkultur. Du övar på att söka information, göra beståndsanalyser och använda digitala resurser för filmhistorisk forskning. Du tillämpar även olika teoretiska och metodologiska perspektiv på filmhistoriska fallstudier, och reflekterar över etiska frågor kopplade till filmhistorisk forskning. </p><p> </p>
