Kursen syftar till att ge kunskaper kring grundläggande begrepp, teorier och metoder inom finansiering. Fokus är på anskaffning och nyttjande av finansiella resurser. Detta inkluderar bland annat metoder för att analysera investeringsbeslut och räntor. Kursen behandlar även hur företags kapitalstruktur påverkas av finansiella beslut. Dessutom syftar kursen till att utveckla förståelse för och kunskap om avkastning och risk samt hållbarhet (socialt ansvarsfulla investeringar - SRI) vid investeringsbeslut.
