Overview
How climate change affects forestry and how we can adapt forestry to create more resilient forests is a crucial issue. Forests play a vital role in climate work as they absorb and store large amounts of carbon dioxide. Additionally, forest raw materials can be used to replace unsustainable fossil energy sources and materials. This course provides in-depth knowledge on the subject, including insights into how various environmental factors affect forestry, national and international climate policy, and regulations. The course also involves developing adapted forestry plans and calculating the climate benefit of a forest property. The course is designed for students with a bachelor's degree, as well as forest owners and professionals with equivalent qualifications. The course includes an excursion to Sweden-Europe. Lectures will be conducted both on campus and remotely in Swedish and English. Seminars and presentations are also included in the course.

Grundläggande behörighet för studier på avancerad nivå samt särskild behörighet: 15 hp inom skogsvetenskap, skogshushållning eller motsvarande. Engelska 6 Kravet på engelska anses uppfyllt för den som har en kandidatexamen om 180 hp från svenskt lärosäte eller 120 hp avklarade studier vid Linnéuniversitetet (LNU). Kraven på engelska kan också uppfyllas på andra sätt vilka specificeras på antagning.se eller universityadmissions.se.
