Overview
This course gives an opportunity to study the occurrence of rocks in their natural environment. It involves geological mapping including recording lithological and structural data in the field as a team. Present geological maps using for example GIS and make interpretations of field relations in the form of a written report. The field course will cause costs for travel and accommodation for the student (500 SEK).

Entry requirements
120 credits with (1) 90 credits in earth science and 15 credits in chemistry, (2) 90 credits in physics and 30 credits in earth science, 3) 90 credits in engineering and 30 in credits earth science, or 4) 90 in credits geology. Participation in Fennoscandia and Beyond: Orogenies through Time. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.
