Overview
Kursen följer två huvudlinjer i geografins idéhistoria från antiken till samtiden. Den ena huvudlinjen behandlar geografiska perspektiv på hur människors omvärldsuppfattningar har förändrats genom historien. Den andra huvudlinjen problematiserar hur geografi som vetenskapsdisciplin utvecklats och tillämpats i modern tid. Geografiämnets förändrade innehåll och funktion över tid kopplas också till politiska, ekonomiska och sociala omvärldsfaktorer, däribland ändrade perspektiv på genus och mångfaldsfrågor. Kursen behandlar vidare hur centrala geografiska begrepp som plats, rum, gräns och skala kan didaktiseras, det vill säga omsättas till undervisning i grundskolan, ur olika geografiska perspektiv.

Grundläggande behörighet samt Matematik 2, Samhällskunskap 1b eller Samhällskunskap 1a1 + 1a2 alternativt Matematik B, Samhällskunskap A och Engelska B. Motsvarandebedömning kan göras.
