Vill du arbeta med frågor som samhällets sårbarhet och frågor om hållbar utveckling? Inom kursen Geografi II får du möjlighet att utveckla och fördjupa färdigheter genom att använda olika geografiska metoder och källor för analys av aktuella samhällsfrågor i olika rumsliga skalor. Tyngdpunkten ligger här på tillämpning, exempelvis hur geografisk teori och metodik kan användas för geografisk analys kopplat till planerings-, utvecklings- och konfliktfrågor lokalt och globalt, som till exempel gränsöverskridande miljöproblem, resursutnyttjande och resurskonflikter. Under kursen får du också lära dig om grundläggande forskningsteori och metodik inklusive formalia kring vetenskaplig framställning vilket praktiseras i form av ett självständigt projektarbete. Exkursioner och fältarbeten är en del av undervisningen, och syftar till att konkretisera och tillämpa teoriavsnitten. Geografi II, 30 hp ges andra terminen på Kandidatprogram i geografi men kan även läsas som fristående kurs.
