Overview
<p>In this course you examine the structure of the German language from a theoretical perspective. With an emphasis on syntactic structures, semantic and pragmatic aspects for the description of the German are also introduced. You learn to use the contrastive method in grammatical language description in connection with different theoretical models for language description.</p> <p>Generic knowledge is promoted such as discussions in colloquia, creation of handouts, understanding of the linguistic research style with the aim of developing your own scientific style (oral, written).</p> <p>NB: The course has scheduled online classes when given as a distance course.</p>

Entry requirements
The requirement for admission to the course is 30 credits from TY1110 German, Introductory course (30 credits) or the equivalent thereof. An additional requirement is at least 22.5 credits from TY1210, German, Intermediate course (30 credits) or the equivalent thereof.
