Overview
<p>The course emphasizes the potential of data capture to a GIS from remotely sensed images that may be used as an interdisciplinary approach to spatial decision-making and problem solving. Theoretical lectures give the theoretical background of electromagnetic radiation, pre-processing and classification techniques. Parallel to the theoretical lectures, the students work practically with exercises that penetrate all the necessary steps of processing RS data to classify land use/ land cover from digital satellite data and aerial photographs.</p>
