Overview
In this course, students discuss and develop business plans for new innovations with the forest as a resource. The course enables students from different technology and science backgrounds to collaborate in the development of a business plan from a bioeconomic perspective. Students use a model to develop the business plan. One example of a model is Canvas, where the process is described in several steps: customer segment, value proposition, customer relations, distribution, key partners, key resources, costs, and revenue. One of the course components is the participation of regional start-ups in the bioeconomic sector in connection with guest lectures and company visits. The course is based on teaching sessions where students are active and responsible for their own learning.

Registered for 180 ECTS credits in a Master programme in Engineering with 100 ECTS credits completed, or registered for 180 ECTS credits in Science and Technology with 100 ECTS credits completed, and upper secondary level Swedish 3 or Swedish as a second language 3 plus English 6, or equivalent
