<p>Kursen lyfter fram tillämpning av digitala verktyg och digitaliseringens samhällskonsekvenser ur ett nationellt och internationellt perspektiv. Likaså belyser kursen hantering av datainsamling samt viktiga forskningsetiska frågor i sammanhang som informationssäkerhet gentemot folkhälsorelaterad information. Begreppet hållbar utveckling diskuteras utifrån ett informationsteknologiskt perspektiv, bland annat utifrån social hållbarhet och digitalisering av samhället. Vidare diskuteras och presenteras hur samhällets digitalisering kan användas för att minska ojämlikhet i hälsa hos befolkningen.</p>
