Overview
Human geography gives you knowledge about the geographical distribution of development resources in different spatial perspectives from the global via the national and regional to the local. We focus on issues such as how global development trends affect countries, places and people. But also how local resources and conditions provide opportunities for development from below. We pay particular attention to developments in a European perspective where issues around regionalization, regionalism, local development, transport and infrastructure and the relationship between rural and urban areas are examples of focus areas. This is also complemented by an excursion to Brussels. Studies in human geography also provide skills in geographical analysis methods, such as GIS (geographic information systems).

Entry requirements
To be admitted to the course, the student must be admitted to the Europe Program and have completed at least 15 credits from the Human Geography basic course, with a focus on European territorial development and planning (KG10EP or KG11EP).
