Utifrån en kritisk diskussion om hållbarhet ska kursen bidra till att ge dig en fördjupad förståelse för samspelet mellan turism och de resurser som utgör dess grund. Kursen beskriver och analyserar ur ett kulturgeografiskt perspektiv turismens sociokulturella, ekologiska och ekonomiska påverkan på olika geografiska nivåer. Kursen tar upp mobilitet, globalisering, makt och genusrelationer, rättvisa och tillgänglighet, miljöförändringar, biosäkerhet och kommersialisering av natur och kultur i relation till turism.
