Overview
In this course you will get a deeper knowledge of human physiology. In lectures, laboratory work and group work, you learn about the structure and function of different organ systems, and their interaction; central, autonomic and peripheral nervous system, sensory organs, muscular system, heart and circulatory system, the body's hormonal control system, gastrointestinal tract, kidney, respiratory and exercise physiology. Animal experimental methodology is included in the course
Admission scores
Entry requirements
1) Basic courses in biology encompassing 60 credits and including the areas cell biology, molecular genetics, evolution, botanical and zoological physiology, ecology, and biodiversity and systematics, or the equivalent. At least 30 credits must be passed. 2) Approved courses within the first year of the bachelor program in environmental sciences and BIO911 Botanical and Zoological Physiology, basic course, 12 credits or equivalent. At least 60 of the 75 credits must be passed. 3) Approved courses within the first and second year of the bachelor program in marine sciences, or the equivalent. At least 90 of the 120 credits must be passed.
