Kursen ger dig fördjupade kunskaper om hur de mänskliga rättigheterna skyddas i svensk och europeisk lag, samt hur de aktualiseras i den politiska processen. Av särskild betydelse är frågan om hur rättighetssystemet i Sverige ska relateras till europeisk reglering, såsom Europarådets regelverk och Europakonventionen. Inte minst uppmärksammas förhållandet mellan svensk lag och EU-rätten.

Entry requirements
180 hp där huvudområdet utgörs av minst 90 hp i mänskliga rättigheter eller något juridiskt, historisk-filosofiskt, samhällsvetenskapligt eller religionsvetenskapligt ämnesområde, eller motsvarande, inklusive ett självständigt arbete om minst 15 hp. Dessutom krävs kunskaper i svenska motsvarande vad som krävs för grundläggande behörighet till utbildning på grundnivå.
