Overview
Kursen består av två moment Moment 1: Teori 6 hp Moment 2: Laboration 3 hp Detta är en grundläggande kurs i immunologi, där immunsystemets funktion och aktivering vid stimulering presenteras. Molekyler och celler som är centrala för immunsystemets funktion gås igenom. Immunsystemets reaktion mot olika patogen tas upp, inklusive betydelsen av vilken vävnad eller vilket organ som är inblandat. Grundläggande mekanismer bakom immunsystemets betydelse för autoimmunitet, transplantation samt överkänslighet inklusive allergi behandlas. Laborationer som innefattar olika immunokemiska tekniker genomförs.

20 ECTS in Chemistry of which at least 5 ECTS in Biochemistry, alternatively 20 ECTS from a combination of courses in Chemistry and Physics and/or Mathematics, of which at least 5 ECTS in Biochemistry; 60 ECTS in Biomedicine/Biology, containing Microbiology, Genetics and Molecular Biology, of which at least 15 ECTS in Cell Biology and 3 ECTS in basic Immunology or equivalent knowledge.
