Overview
<p>The course is aimed at string students at music colleges or equivalent institutions, as well as professional string musicians and teachers who want to explore improvisation. </p><p>In this course, you will use practical methods to create and build your own phrases based on a given structure or function. The course gives you alternative approaches to traditional classical string methodology, with the aim of improving the quality of your daily practice. </p><p>The course provides opportunities for creative practice and music making in groups. Together as a group, you have both lectures and practical applications of alternative scale types, harmonics and playing techniques. </p>
