Overview
Students plan and carry out an artistic project including a chosen aim and research questions and reflect upon, describe, and discuss their own creative process. They also reflect on and discuss different topics, artistic perspectives, methods, and processes in the field of artistic research. The course includes instruction on how an independent project is planned and completed. The course includes an introduction to and perspectives on artistic work, formulation of a problem, aim and research questions, planning the performance, and choosing and elaborating on the form and content of the project. The project proposal is discussed in a seminar before the project begins. The course also comprises processing, completing, and implementing the project, an artistic performance and oral presentation of the work, and written documentation presented as an essay, which is discussed in a final seminar. Instruction is in the form of group sessions and seminars as well as individual and group supervision.
