Overview
I kursen ges en introduktion till människan som individ, familje-, grupp- och samhällsmedlem. Vidare belyses hur individen utvecklas och socialiseras i relation till, och i samspel med, sin omgivning under livsloppet. Kursen syftar även till att studenten ska få kunskap om och förståelse för olika begrepp, teorier och metoder inom socialpsykologi, utvecklingspsykologi, socialgerontologi, utvecklingsekologi, emotioner samt kriser exempelvis i samband med döden. Inom kursen introduceras och behandlas även begrepp och teorier om, samt risk- och skyddsfaktorer för social utsatthet gällande individer, familjer och grupper. Kursens undervisningsformer består av föreläsningar, grupparbeten samt seminarier. Gästföreläsningar från till exempel verksamheter inom socialt arbete ingår i kurser för att knyta samman teori och praktik.

30 hp inom Socionomprogrammet (SGGEN) varav minst 10 hp godkänt. Motsvarandebedömning kan göras.
