Overview
Sustainable development is both a challenge and an opportunity for society today. We must protect the environment, reduce poverty and maintain economic growth. To ensure sustainable development, we must evaluate the processes by which industry is transformed and technology changes over time so that we can learn from history and build a better future. If you want to get a deeper understanding of industrial dynamics and social technical systems theory, then you should join this course. You will learn about the theoretical basis for industrial dynamics and study contemporary cases and historical examples in connection with environmental protection and sustainability, as well as evaluate and analyse the effects of industrial and technological progress on sustainable development.

Entry requirements
120 credits of which 90 credits engineering and/or natural science. In addition, Swedish course 3 or Swedish level 3 and English course 6 or English level 2 are required. For courses given entirely in English exemption is made from the requirement in Swedish course 3 or Swedish level 3.
